Riley’s Catch is a nonprofit challenging students to build greater character, stronger minds, and bigger faith through fishing and the outdoors.
The Riley's Cup, in its 7th year, is a world class fishing experience connecting people and communities across the Carolinas and beyond! This tournament brings together high school, college, and local anglers to connect and fish in one tournament.
Riley’s Catch participates in 5 North Carolina High School B.A.S.S. Nation tournaments each year with the goal of qualifying for the Bassmaster High School National Championship. The team was founded in 2012 on the four pillars: Fun, Friendship, Faith, and Fishing.
The Riley’s Catch fishing team is a high school fishing team founded from the tragic death of Riley Laymon. A week before Riley passed, he wrote a letter to his athletic director about starting a fishing team at his high school. Riley foresaw a nationally competitive fishing team, one with an inviting culture that brings students together by creating a fun, safe place to belong.
To challenge students to build greater character, stronger minds, and bigger faith through fishing and the outdoors.
To be the most connected fishing community in the country.
